Label Resources, a label printer converter company based in Canada, has recently acquired a Domino N610i digital label press. The acquisition comes as the company focuses on expansion of the recently bought digital printing facility in Langley, British Columbia. Digital printing is largely becoming one of the Label Resources’ key components for future growth plans.
Jerry Marincelj, president, Label Resources states about the acquisition that the company has ventured in the field of digital printing seven years back when it made a Primera system a part of its profile. Understanding the need for improvement in speed and automation in the field of order processing, the company installed a Labeltraxx software system EFI Jetrion 4950 digital press some four years before. The vast rise in consumer demand for run sizes ranging from 100 – 100,000 ft required the company to improve its throughput. Thus the inclusion of a Domino N610i, which can improve speed by nearly two and a half times, came as the obvious next step for the company.
Mr Marincelj added that with a color range of nearly 92% of Pantone colors, variable data printing capabilities of about 245 feet per minute, and process metallic color systems, the company is sure that it will attract consumers with exceptional services, quality, and economical prices never seen before. The company has been very enthusiastic owing to the growth that it has witnessed in the past few years. Shifting to digital printing has made a huge difference to the company’s traditional flexo business.
